About Beaufort, Missouri
While other cities talk about their sense of community, the town of Beaufort, Missouri, has lived it. After settling in 1849, the whole town picked up and moved to a new location in 1887. That sense rings true today at the Beaufort Lions Club. Since 1970, the club has epitomized community and caring. The club’s “we serve” motto supports local and international humanitarian efforts. Some key issues they tackle are diabetes awareness, food pantries, and clean water. They support the Missouri School for the Blind, Leader Dogs for the Blind, and recycle used glasses. They also support the local PTO and give Union High School graduates scholarships. The year’s highlight is the fundraising Annual Car and Truck Show.
The city is part of the Missouri Rock Island Trail. In 2021, the Missouri Department of Natural Resources took ownership of the Rock Island Corridor, a 144-mile stretch of former railroads that runs from Beaufort to Windsor. The plan is to turn the corridor into a recreational trail built in sections, offering unique challenges and features.
Beaufort has a lot to offer if you want to put down new roots. The unemployment rate is 2% below the national average, and the cost of living is almost 5% lower. Home values have appreciated over 25% in the last year. It’s not hard to see why the population has risen by over 8% since the 2020 census.
Hunters from around the area set up camp at the Noser Mill Conservation Area. Since 2015, the 205 acres of deeply forested land has been a great spot for bagging deer, squirrels, and turkey. Seasons and weapons vary, so be sure to check out the local regulations.
Pay a visit to the St. Jordan Creek Winery for a more tasteful setting. It is located on a one-hundred-plus-year-old farm, and local grapes are used to produce some of Missouri’s finest. Stop by for a sample of the peach and raspberry wines, Sauvignon Blanc, and a classic Norton. The most popular item is the homemade Sangria. It’s made fresh, so bottles are not available, but you can still bring the beverage home with you, well, sort of. Sangria kits, including two bottles of wine and a secret ingredient, are available. You can join the Sangria Club and get kits delivered to your door four times a year. Stop by and enjoy the wine garden and tasting room.
Hold your own event at the Grand Hall. The hall was erected in 1894, and this amazing setting is complete with stained glass windows and pieces of history. Experience the 3D light show, which can be customized for your event. Guests love the blend of historic charm and cutting-edge technology.
What the residents of Beaufort don’t love is the nuisance wildlife. Animals like coyotes, foxes, raccoons, and more can make their way from the thickly forested areas to your home. When that happens, Advanced Wildlife Control is here for you. We are the area’s leading wildlife removal service. We’ll make those critters disappear, repair the damage, and ensure they don’t return.
